Abstract

The administrative supervisor is the nurse leader who is present and provides leadership oversight on the night, weekend, and holiday shifts when the unit managers, directors, and hospital administrators are not present in the hospital. In this post–COVID-19 pandemic period, it is necessary to re-examine the role of administrative supervisors and enhance their integration within the organization's structure. This article discusses key strategies in reframing the administrative supervisor role.
