Superior Eastern Oyster Stocks for Enhancing Coastal Aquaculture

Project Details

Description

The overall objective of this project is to identify the best-performing oyster stock for enhancing eastern oyster aquaculture in high-salinity waters of New Jersey and the Northeast. Researchers propose to (1) produce different oyster stocks that may perform well in coastal bays; (2) evaluate the stocks at four permitted aquaculture farms (industry partners) in NJ; and (3) transfer project results to NJ and regional shellfish farmers.
